NCSMI

75th-anniversary-logo-225pxThe year it all began. In 1941, what was once called the N.C. Scholastic Press Association formed in the UNC journalism school. Walter Spearman headed the association during its formation.

In its 75 years, a lot has changed. The association’s named changed to N.C. Scholastic Media Association, eight different people have sat at the helm of the association and the Institute now includes seven sequences for participants.

As student media has innovated and change, so has NCSMA.

Here’s to the past 75 years, and here’s to 75 more.
